Chithira Maadam specializes in Chettinad-style woodcrafts such as doors, frames, pillars, pooja maadams, sculptures, wall panels, and refurbished/customized items.
Natural and artistic variations are inherent to woodcraft. Slight differences in wood grain, color, pose, floral patterns, figures, or carving details are normal and not considered defects. Such variations are not eligible for replacement or refund.
Product dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly.
Orders and Payments
Customized orders should be placed 15–30 days in advance. Complex or larger pieces may take longer.
Advance Payment:
80% advance is required to confirm the order.
The remaining 20% is payable after viewing the product (via images or in person) before delivery.
Payments are processed securely through Razorpay and other approved methods.
Orders are valid only after payment confirmation.
Shipping and Delivery
Products are securely packed and shipped with reliable courier partners.
Domestic (India): Free standard shipping on most items.
International Orders: Shipping charges apply and are based on size, weight, and destination.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to logistics or unforeseen events.
Risk of loss passes to the customer once products are handed to the courier.
Returns and Replacements
Returns are accepted only if:
The product is damaged during delivery, or
The wrong product is delivered.

Provide clear photos and an unpacking video as proof.

Cancellations

After this time, production begins and cancellations are not possible.
Refunds
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7–10 working days using the original payment method.
If a return is approved due to damage or an incorrect product, Chithira Maadam will cover the return shipping costs.
Care Guidelines
Keep wooden products indoors or in covered spaces, away from direct sunlight, rain, and heat sources.
Maintain stable indoor humidity to avoid cracks or warping.
Clean gently using only recommended methods for wood surfaces.

Shipping Policy
Order Timeline and Booking
At Chithira Maadam, each piece is crafted with care and attention to detail. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not, review our return and refund guidelines below.
We recommend placing your order for a customised product at least 15–30 days in advance.
Complex or larger pieces may take longer. We’ll provide an estimated timeline during the inquiry stage. To confirm your order, an 80% advance is required. This allows us to reserve production time and begin preparation. A 20% advance must be paid after viewing the product, either in person or via images, before delivery.
Returns & Replacements
Returns are accepted only in the case of:

If your product arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours with clear video and photographs while unpacking. We will evaluate and offer support accordingly.
Non-Returnable Items
Custom-made, personalised, or refurbished items cannot be returned or exchanged once production has begun.
